In 2020, the following LETR International Executive Council positions are due for election / re-election:
LETR International Executive Council Appointee (1 position) Special Olympics Athlete Representative (1 position) Law Enforcement At-Large Member (1 position) Special Olympics At-Large Member (1 position) Regional Coordinators Regions II, V, VIII, XI and XIV
COUNCIL APPOINTEE
One person each year is appointed or re-appointed to serve a (2) two year term in one of the (2) two appointed LETR International Executive Council positions. The appointed member shall have full membership and voting privileges as an Executive Council member. This position is open without restriction to any interested Law Enforcement Member or Special Olympics Program Representative to submit an application for consideration.
SPECIAL OLYMPICS ATHLETE REPRESENTATIVE
One Special Olympics Athlete Representative shall be appointed on even numbered years to serve a two (2) year term. The appointed member shall have full membership and voting privileges as an Executive Council member. This position is open without restriction to any interested Special Olympics Program wishing to submit an application for consideration of their Special Olympics Athlete.
LAW ENFORCEMENT AT-LARGE
One Law Enforcement at-large member each year is elected or re-elected to serve a (3) three year term in one of the (3) three elected Law Enforcement At-Large positions. The elected member shall have full membership and voting privileges as an Executive Council member. This position is open to any interested Law Enforcement Member who has been an active participant in their home program for a minimum of 3 years prior to the year they run for election. Special Olympics Program Representatives are not eligible for election to a Law Enforcement At-large position on the Executive Council.
SPECIAL OLYMPICS AT-LARGE
One Special Olympics Program at-large member each year shall be elected or re-elected to one of the three (3) Special Olympics Program At-Large positions. The elected member shall have full membership and voting privileges as an Executive Council member. This position is open to any interested Special Olympics Program Member who has been an active participant in their home program for a minimum of 3 years prior to the year they run for election.
REGIONAL COORDINATORS
There are fifteen (15) Regional Coordinators, one elected from each Law Enforcement Torch Run region, each of whom must be a Law Enforcement Member. This position is open to any interested Law Enforcement Member who has been an active participant in their home program for a minimum of 3 years prior to the year they run for election. Regional Coordinators are elected by the Torch Run Directors from the Special Olympics Programs within a Torch Run Region for a three (3) year term. Five Regional Coordinators are re-elected each year. Special Olympics Program Representatives are not eligible for election to a Regional Coordinator position on the Executive Council.

The 2019 LETR International Executive Council Elections were conducted at the LETR International Conference in Aurora, Colorado in September 2019.
